How Long Does Cabinet Refacing Take? (Day-by-Day)
Quick answer

Most cabinet refacing projects take 3–5 days of on-site work. After a free estimate and about 2–3 weeks of local manufacturing time, installation itself is quick: doors and panels go on, hardware is fitted, and a final walkthrough completes the job — all with your kitchen usable throughout.

The short answer

On-site installation for a typical kitchen takes 3–5 days. Before that, there's a free estimate and roughly two to three weeks while your new doors and panels are manufactured in our Kelowna shop. The install itself is fast and clean because there's no demolition.

The full timeline

Day 0 — Free estimate

We visit your home, measure, and help you choose a style, colour, and material. You get a precise, no-obligation quote.

Weeks 1–3 — Local manufacturing

Your doors, drawer fronts, and panels are built to spec in Kelowna. Because we manufacture in-house rather than importing, lead times are shorter and quality control is tighter.

Install day 1 — Prep and panels

We remove the old doors and hardware, prep and clean the boxes, and apply edge banding and new side panels so every exposed surface matches.

Install days 2–3 — Doors and drawer fronts

New doors and drawer fronts go on, carefully aligned. Soft-close hinges are set and adjusted.

Install days 4–5 — Hardware and finishing

Handles and pulls are fitted, everything is fine-tuned, and we clean up completely.

Final walkthrough

We walk the kitchen with you and adjust every hinge and door until it's perfect.

Will my kitchen be usable during the work?

Yes. Unlike a full renovation, refacing has no demolition and no extended downtime. Your counters, sink, and appliances stay in place, and we clean up at the end of each day. Most families cook at home throughout.

Frequently asked questions

On-site installation takes about 3–5 days for most kitchens, following roughly 2–3 weeks of local manufacturing after your estimate. There's no demolition, so the process is fast and clean.
Yes. Refacing involves no demolition — your counters, sink, and appliances stay in place and we clean up each day, so your kitchen remains usable throughout the project.
Because doors are manufactured to order, plan for about 2–3 weeks between your approved estimate and installation. Booking your free estimate early secures your spot in the schedule.
